This memorial obelisk at Empress Place, on the northern bank of the Singapore River, commemorates the 1850 trip to Singapore by James Broun-Ramsay, 1st Marquis of Dalhousie. It stands close to the Asian Civilisations Museum and Anderson Bridge.
