Emergencies

  • 999 PoliceFor immediate police help.
  • 995 Ambulance and fire (SCDF)Only for life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, seizures, breathlessness, loss of consciousness, heavy bleeding, major injuries and stroke. An SCDF ambulance is free for emergencies.
  • 70999 Police by SMSWhen it is not safe to talk.
  • 70995 SCDF by SMSFor people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired. Say what is happening, where (address or landmark) and whether you need a fire engine or an ambulance.

Not an emergency

For toothache, diarrhoea, a cough, a headache, small burns or a check-up, go to a clinic. If SCDF takes a non-emergency case to hospital, it charges S$274.
