Sentosa
About
Sentosa is the island off the south coast of Singapore's main island, across the channel of Keppel Harbour, developed and run by the Sentosa Development Corporation since 1972. It was a British military base, and then a camp where the Japanese held prisoners of war, before it was renamed in the 1970s and turned over to tourism, and up to 25 million people visit it in a year. Among the nine sights this site lists there are Universal Studios Singapore, the Singapore Oceanarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, the Imbiah Lookout and Fort Siloso. No MRT station is on the island: HarbourFront (North-East and Circle lines) on the main island is the nearest, 2.1 km from the centre point we use.
